3D navigation set-top box

Nagravision and 3Ality Digital have been demoing at IBC a prototype of version 2 of the Nagra Media Guide including a 3D user interface for EPGs (electronic programme guides) that accommodates 3D as well as 2D. It can be used on broadcast TV feeds or the internet. Read the IBC announcement here.

Brian May adds 3D to his porfolio

On top of beeing Queen guitarist, Brian may is also the owner of the London Stereoscopic Company. He is also publishing a book featuring a series of cards created by pioneering 1850s stereoscopic photographer T R Williams, whose work May has been researching for the past 30 years. Elena Vidal and the London Stereoscopic Company are co-publishing the book that is will be available on 22 October 2009 for 35 GBP, including the pair of foldable 3D glasses. JVC turns 2D into 3D
