NATO 3D Movies Q2-2013 Report
NATO (National Association of Theatre Owners) unveiled some interesting figures about the second quarter 2013:
- The average 3D ticket price raised to $8.38, a 3% increase year-on-year.
- Stereoscopic 3D Movies boxoffice for the April-June 2013 period was $ 1.29 Billion, a 73% increase year-on-year.
- 3D Blockbusters contributing to the above figures included Star Trek Into Darkness, Monsters University or Iron Man 3.

The National Association of Theatre Owners is the largest exhibition trade organization in the world, representing more than 30,000 movie screens in all 50 states, and additional cinemas in 50 countries worldwide.
