Steropsia and IC3D Are Back in December 2017 - Call for Paper Issued
The IC3D webpage now contains all necessary information for authors to submit papers. The deadline for submission is Mon 17 July 2017.
IC3D stands for “International Conference on 3D Immersion”. Immersion (with VR, AR,…) being a hot topic today, we stand a chance to attract more papers, and, hopefully, more quickly. Of course, stereoscopic 3D remains at the heart of good immersion. In the past few years, the winner of the “Best IC3D Paper Award” appreciated to receive a “Lumiere Award” from the Advanced Imaging Society and VR Society in the formal setting of the Awards Ceremony. This year, the award will be given out on Dec 13, 2017 in the prestigious Center for Fine Arts of Brussels (BOZAR), where IC3D will also be held on Dec 11-12.
ABOUT STEREOPSIA 2017
From its inception in 2009 and up until 2016, the international 3D summit was called “3D Stereo MEDIA” and took place in Liège, Belgium. 3D Stereo MEDIA is recognized as one of the few places in the world where 3D & VR/AR experts can meet, exchange ideas, conceive projects, and conclude deals. In December 2016, the Organizers decided to change the name of the event and call it “stereopsia”, which is a contraction of the word stereo (volume), and opsis (perception); and the professional part will take place in the capital of Europe, Brussels. Stereopsia will keep all values, principles, professionalism and conviviality of 3D Stereo MEDIA.
The "Scientific conference" is the International Conference on 3D Immersion, formerly known as the International Conference on 3D Imaging. The conference is now in its 7th edition. IC3D presents the latest information in 3D immersion research & development, and provides a way to anticipate what will soon emerge from skunk-works, research laboratories. IC3D emphasizes the mid and long terms, and the limits of the possible. The scope of IC3D is ALL aspects – scientific, engineering, mathematical, ... - and ALL applications of ALL forms of 3D immersion, including 3D stereo, 3D imaging, 3D audio, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), 3D cinema, and 3D cinematic VR. All modalities of 3D imaging are eligible: (auto)stereoscopic, light-field, holographic, range, …
