3DSoundLab (Cesson-Sévigné, France) wants to create the most immersive experience through its new innovative helmet fitted with accelerometers. The device will be funded through a crowdfunding campaign starting this February 3, 2015.

The Neoh helmet connects to your 5.1 or 7.1 audio source through Bluetooth, then the app virtualizes multi-source sound to creat a sound sphere around you. You stay completely immersed in your movie thanks to the head tracking technology.

Many of us salivate when looking at the image of a tasty dish. Similarly, some people smell sulfur when listening to a holophonic recording of a person striking a match! The presentation will take place as part of 3DStereoMEDIA Professional Conference (PCON) on Thursday December 5, 2013 PM in the AuroTorium of Galaxy Studios, natively equipped with Auro3D, and specially equipped with Atmos for 3D Stereo MEDIA.

Barco (Kortrijk, Belgium) announces that its Auro 11.1 sound system will play a starring role in select showings of “Madam Butterfly 3D”. Barco’s Auro 11.1 will provide an exceptionally immersive 3D audio experience for several upcoming screenings of the film at the Landmark Xtreme Cinema in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

Screenings are scheduled on September 5, 9 and 10, 2012, and tickets are now on-sale.
