Shooting the "Vision Next 100" Video in 3D

Shooting the "Vision Next 100" Video in stereoscopic 3D was not easy. Director Arnd Buss von Kuk (Munich, Germany) wanted the 3D short shot with the point of view of a real motorcycle ride. That is why ScreenPlane had to create a gyro stabilized system moving like a bike...

"We had to create a system, which is taking out the vibrations in driving direction, but still follows all movements to the side, when the motor cycle is leaning into curves. This was done with a gyro stabilized rig, designed and built by Screen Plane for this project“, explains Christian Künstler from gate.11. Watch "Vision Next 100" here under.

With a budget close to $500,000 and four months of post-production, I, Philip is an ambitious piece of work that opens up interesting perspectives for immersive fiction.

"One Night in Hell" 3D at Universal Studio Hollywood

The London Stereoscopic Company (London, UK) -headed by Queen guitarist Brian May- is projecting its "The One Night In Hell" stereoscopic animated short at Universal Studio Hollywood's annual Halloween Horror Nights event as part as the Crimson Peak Maze. The film can be viewed from 6 pm to 2am, Thursdays to Sundays, until early November 2015.
