First 3D to Multiview Online Service Available

Zero Creative (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) Offers 3DZignage Glasses-free digital signage services and solutions. And now, 3DZignage includes a high quality service to convert standard stereo 3D video into glasses-free autostereoscopic 3D content, also known as multi-view. The video generated by the new service is in the generic format known as 2D+Z (2D + depth).

Top Quality Automated 3D to 2D+Z Conversion

The quality of the conversion is high above the market standards for realtime conversion and is based on a very low cost model of just 25€ per minute as part of 3DZignage.

Output is in the generic 2D+Z (2D + depth) format that can be used on any glasses-free 3D Display, and not only of Zero Creative displays. A similar online conversion service will also become available for non-3DZignage customers, with a different pricing model.

Conversions are processed on Zero Creative's servers using a fully automated system, available 24/7. This is the first fully automated high-end online service for this type of conversion.

Pricing Policy

So far the reached quality was only offered with human intervention, most often than not for a costbetween 250€ and 1,000€ per minute. The new service will mainly provide a speed and cost advantage to those interested in converting Stereoscopic 3D (dual view) to autostereoscopic 3D (multiview 2D+Z).

Use Cases

The new service comes in handy especially for showing 3D movies and trailers, TV programmes and stock footage on glasses-free 3D displays. A good example is a 3D display network for theater lobbies, showing off 3D trailers without the need of 3D-glasses in a completely automated way.
