3net released its free 50 pages "3D Production Guide" in pdf format (download it here under) together with Sony Pictures Entertainment, IMAX, and Discovery. This guide was written for the producers of 3D content for television. Its goal is to help prepare them as they plan for and create a 3D program.

Tim Burton's 3D stereoscopic movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will be released on June 22, 2012. And today, Twentieth Century Fox released the first trailer (in 2D).
Efficient ACS 3D Broadcast Cameras
Aerial Camera Systems Ltd (Godalming, UK) has launched two new 3D heads, the Hammerhead and Remora.
ACS has a unique inventory available for rental ranging from remote heads and compact cameras, railcams and wirecams to tracking vehicles, underwater systems and tethered airships as well as over 20 plus helicopter camera systems. The two new heads are targeting various sports live events where space and reliability are primary concerns.
London 2012 Olympics in 3D
The BBC goes the 3D stereoscopic way once again, after the successful 3D trial that took place during Wimbledon in June, and will broadcast some of the London 2012 Olympic Games in 3D. The action will be shown on both Freesat and Freeview via the BBC HD channel.
The broadcaster says the extravagant opening and closing ceremonies will be shown in the format, as will nightly highlights from the games. The only sporting event to be shown live in 3D will be the men's 100 metre finals on 5 August.
"Perceiving in Depth", the Reference in 3D Vision
"Perceiving in Depth, Volume 1, 2 and 3" is a 3-volumes set in the "Oxford Psychology Series" by Ian P. Howard and Brian J. Rogers. The 3-books set is available from February 24, 2012 on Amazon and from other bookshops from 530.81$ (official price is 575$).
Formula 1 in 3D Soon ?
Sky (UK) dedicated Formula One channel
launches on 9 March in SD and HD, and the broadcaster has revealed to Pocket-lint that it hopes to add 3D to that mix some time in the future.
