CyberLightning Ltd. (Oulu, Finland) today launched CyberSlide 1.0, a 3D stereographic presentation engine and conversion tool that quickly and easily imports business presentations into stereoscopic 3D virtual environments. With CyberSlide, the audience in a business presentation is transported into virtual environments, including custom worlds designed to support specific themes and brands.

Recognizing that applications for 3D stereo technology scale across platforms, Cyber-Lightning also released a viewing application for the LG Optimus 3D P920 Android smartphone, the world’s first 3D stereo capable mobile phone.

Phereoshop 3D Photo Organizer

Phereoshop 1.2 is a freeware application for windows computers from Phereo (Santa Barbara, CA, USA). Download and install it to view 3D stereoscopic photos in different stereo modes, including Nvidia 3D Vision and Nvidia 3D Vision 2. Phereoshop will also organize and tag your 3D pictures in albums; then you may use it to share your stereoscopic pictures on the phereo.com web site. Phereo offers also an Android Market app and a plugin for WordPress.

HUGO 3D Blu-ray and 11 Nominations

Renowned director Martin Scorsese's groundbreaking and original adventure HUGO makes its highly-anticipated debut on Blu-ray 3D on February 28, 2012 from Paramount Home Media Distribution. Recipient of more Academy Award nominations than any other film, HUGO was honored with 11 total, including Best Picture and Best Director.

3D contact lenses ? Only if you are US soldiers...

Contact lenses that help enhance normal vision with megapixel stereoscopic 3D panoramic images are being designed by reserchers from Innovega (Bellevue, WA, USA)  using military funding from DARPA (USA).

The new system consists of advanced contact lenses working in conjunction with lightweight eyewear. Normally, the human eye is limited in its ability to focus on objects placed very near it, but the contact lenses contain optics that focus images displayed on the eyewear onto the light-sensing retina in the back of the eye, allowing the wearer to see them properly and appearing as equivalent to a 240-inch television, viewed at a distance of 10 feet.

Paramount produced the "Justin bieber: Never Say Never" stereoscopic 3D concert and grabbed some 73,000,000 Dollars... Thus, it is not suprising that they are interested in creating another new 3D concert film, and Katy Perry's name came quickly on top of their list, thanks to its "I Kissed A Girl" and "Firework" hits.
