Two Worlds 3D by Sony

Digital Domain and Spy Films just released a stunning 60 seconds spot advertising SONY’s 3D products. Titled “Two Worlds”, this 2D and stereoscopic 3D short is distributed on 3D silver screens, on in-store SONY displays across the US, and on YouTube (in Full HD 3D). A 2D version is broadcasted on US TV too. We even got a link to the Making of video with a lot of detailed explanations about the script, the shooting, and of course the FX….

Panasonic 152" 3DTV

As announced here last year, Panasonic is offering the largest in the world 4K 3DTV. Unromantically named TH-152UX1, this TV set offers a size of 141x77 inches (198x360 cm) and weights only 1272 Lbs (577 Kg). Aspect ratio is 17:9 and the price is set around 650,000 €.The 152UX1 is listed in the "Professional Displays" category by Panasonic.

DVB-3DTV Specification Approved

The DVB-3DTV specification has got the DVB’s seal of approval is for both streaming 3D through an HDMI cable or straight from a built-in tuner and decoder. subtitles over 3D are also part of the spec document.

Hollywoo3D Hand Made 3D Paintings

Dutch painter Stefan Da Costa Gomez aka Phyntasize is giving tribute to James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, and Humphrey Bogart with its 3D handcrafted work called "Classic Hollywoo3D Paintings". The idea was to combine the classic analog craft of painting with the contemporary technology and today's hype of digital 3D film to create a new way of viewing and experiencing a painting.
