Panasonic PT-AT5000 3D projector

Panasonic unveiled its first 3D projector, the PT-AT5000. With full HD3D resolution, contrast ratio of 300,000:1, a 200 Watts lamp and a 2,000 lumens output, the PT-AT5000 works with active glasses switched at 480 frames/second. Cross-talk is thus particularly low.

3D Stereo MEDIA Film Market : The call is open

3D Stereo MEDIA (Liège, Belgium, 6-8 Dec 2011) features a new 3D film market, called the 3D Film Mart. It is the first European co-production market for stereoscopic 3D movies.

The 3D Film Mart was developed by 3D Stereo MEDIA in association with TWIST and Peacefulfish. It is partially funded by the MEDIA Program of the European Commission (EC), and is thus an official project of the EC. This gives it a wide visibility and a significant notoriety in Europe and beyond.

Sony digital binoculars with 3D recording mode

Sony just announced the launch of the DEV-3 (10x) and DEV-5 (20X) digital binoculars which double as a high-definition 3D video cameras. GPS for geotagging and a battery good for 3 hours of full HD recording are included.

Zoom is limited to 5.4X in recording mode.

Sony HDR-TD10E

The Sony HDR-TD10E's double lens with independent sensors makes it the first 'real' 3D camcorder to be able to shoot stereoscopic video in Full HD.  Alongside the JVC GS-TD1, it's also one of the first to feature a 3D display. The HDR-TD10E is available from 1249$ in US retail stores.

South Africa first 3D live broadcast
