"The Pirates! Band of Misfits" Blu-ray 3D
The stop-motion family adventure "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation will sail to Blu-ray 3D in August 2012.
In an early announcement to retailers, Sony will start to distribute "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" on stereoscopic HD 3D Blu-rays from August 28, 2012.

The Story
When the infamous Pirate Captain (played by Hugh Grant) is shunned once again by his rivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek), he sets his sights to win the coveted "Pirate of the Year" Award. With hi trusted dodo, Polly, and a ragtag crew at his side, the Pirate Captain will need to battle a diabolical queen (Imelda Staunton), save a young scientist (David Tennant), and never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure.

The "Pirates! Band of Misfits" Blu-ray 3D features 1080p video and DTS Audio 5.1.
