Harry Potter 3D Blu-rays
The “Harry Potter 3D Experience” is a combo pack of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, both in 3D and both on Blu-Ray 3D, and this is the only way to watch Part 1 in 3D !
This exclusive “Harry Potter 3D Experience” will be available to consumers who purchase Sony’s BDP-S780 Blu-ray Disc player with 3D or BDV-E580 Blu-ray 3D home theater system. Additionally, the same Harry Potter 3D titles will be bundled with two pairs of Sony active 3D glasses, TDG-BR250/DBL, as a “3D starter kit.”
Warner Bros.announced that new shipments will cease on December 29th, 2011 and the films will remain vaulted for an undisclosed amount of time. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how long WB will stick to this commitment (especially since Deathly Hallows Part 1 and2 will soon be due for Ultimate Edition treatment).
