Barco Galaxy NW-7
Barco has released a cost-effective three-chip DLP projector designed for multichannel applications, the Galaxy NW-7. It features both active 3D stereo and patented active Infitec capabilities. Read the announcement here on Government Video. Resolution is 1920x1200 and brightness is 7,000 lumens. The price is unknown as for now.
The Galaxy NW-7 is designed for high-resolution, multichannel setups, such as domes and immersive systems. Its active 3D stereo capabilities are aimed at applications in scientific research and virtual design, while its smearing reduction makes it an attractive choice for simulated fast-jet training. Both applications typically use multi-projector systems.
Barco’s Galaxy NW-7 is optimized for multi-projector system integration through edge blending, constant light output (CLO) linked through multiple projectors, and warping for geometric corrections on curved surfaces.
