65 Inches Glasses Free TV in 2012
AU Optronics (Taiwan) plans to begin rolling out autostereoscopic 3D panels in the second half of 2012 and expects its shipments of 65-inch TV panels to reach 700,000 units for the year (all categories included).
The average panel size for TV applications is expected to grow to 36.5-inch in 2012 from 35.5-inch in 2011, AUO estimated. AUO provides two kind of autostereoscopic panels : parallax barrier (for small displays), and lenticular lenses (for larger displays).
Advantages of AUO Barrier 3D Display
AUO offers satisfactory 3D performance in both portrait / landscape modes without any color aberration. High accuracy laminating technologies are also applied to ensure a highly reliable production.
AUO Lenticular lenses panels
