World's smallest Full HD 3D display
ORTUS Technology (Tokuo, Japan), a CASIO subsidiary, presented today a brand news TFT-LCD scren 4.8" Full HD 3D display (122 mm). The panel has 1920x1080 pixels and is covered by an optical film called Xpol. The 3D effect is visible with passive polarised glasses with an effecitive resolution of 1920x540 in 3D.
3DTV size now measured in feet
Samsung announces its new 75-inch LED backlit 3D Smart TV, so the 72" LG is no more the largest 3DTV...It seems that using feet instead of inches to announce 3DTV size becomes more appropriate. So, the new Samsung D9500 6,25 feet 3DTV set is provided with a remote and a full size QWERTY keyboard -useful as the integrated Smart Hub allows for web surfing. Expect the price around 17,500$.
B&O first 3D TV confirmed as NOT cheap
The BeoVision 4 85-inch plasma TV isthe first Full HD screen with 3D sold by Bang & Olufsen (Denmark). We found the YouTube presentation of this extremely nice 3DTV exepected to be sold for less than 90,000 $ (or 65,000$ without the motorized stand if you are a bit cash-strapped).
Cheap 60 inches 3D TV on sale at Amazon
Amazon is selling what seems to be a small quantity of large 60" 3D DLP TV sets. Enormous 3DTV have never been as cheap as this one : 949 USD, free shipping to the US included!
