Cameron-Pace + Grass Valley = Cheaper 3D Broadcast

This equation is the result of a a new alliance and new products announced at the recent IBC (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). Grass Valley has formed a strategic alliance with Cameron Pace Group to accelerate the broadcast industry's transformation to 3D stereoscopic production and to unfy and streamline the production workflow.

The two companies plan to enhance the entertainment value of 3D products by bringing a better 3D workflow to the broadcast arena, developing new products for the market, and advancing and promoting more efficient and effective production solutions in the live 3D sports and entertainment broadcasting areas. This alliance is expected to benefit all production and content creation companies involved in 3D.

As the first step in the alliance, Cameron Pace Group will incorporate Grass Valley production technologies, including the Kayenne Video Production Center switcher, K2 production clients and K2 Dyno Replay controllers into their most current 3D production truck.

AJA Video Systems, based in Grass Valley, announced five new products at the convention that help enable new workflows for video, broadcast and film professionals. The company also made several announcements supporting new technologies from companies including AMD, Apple, Assimilate, Avid, Intel, NVIDIA and Sony.
