3D Independent Film Competition
With the support of member company, Autodesk, the International 3D Society is excited to announce the 3D Independent Film Competition. The competition is open to 3D stereoscopic filmmakers around the world.
Powered by Nvidia and Fordela, the competition is open to any short subject work of 40 minutes or less. Filmmakers can upload their works to a secure 3D website at: 3DindyCompetition.com. Deadline for entries is November 16, 2012. Entries will be judged by a panel of Society voting member professionals.
“The winning filmmaker will be flown to Los Angeles to receive his or her award at our Creative Arts Awards Ceremony in February,” said Society President, Jim Chabin. “This is our chance to shine the spotlight on the star filmmakers of tomorrow.”
The 3D Independent Film Competition
The 3D Independent Film Competition supports 3D filmmakers around the world. Filmmakers have the opportunity to show their work directly to the 3D industry's leading companies and studios, including the major Hollywood studios.
A panel of top 3D industry professionals will judge each submission. The winners will be announced and recognized at the International 3D Society's red carpet 3D Creative Arts Awards ceremony, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Winners will be in the company of all the major 3D film studio, television, video game and mobile content creators in Hollywood as well as international.
Winners will be flown to Hollywood and accommodated for 5 days and 4 nights in a four-star hotel while they get to tour a major Hollywood studio and have the opportunity to go on set with one of Hollywood's top 3D stereographers.
