Cirque Dreams and N4D (Suwanee, GA, USA) have joined forces to develop the first-ever live touring theatrical production appearing in 3D titled "Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy 3D".

The technology in development will be a unique, state-of-the-art invention incorporating N4D's patented technologies. The marriage between live performers and these new innovative 3D applications will create a variety of layers and textures both on and off the stage that previously never existed and will reinvent the current dimensions of theatre.

Japan and Sony are making an impressive 3D-tech pitch for the 2022 World Cup tournament. Sony's plan is to project real-time 3D holographic images of the game in real time to crowds around the world, real-time translation machines and constant connection to handheld 3D video devices.



2010 Ryder Cup was shot with a 3D polecam

One of Britain's leading Polecam operators, Chris Taber, has reported the successful completion of a project for Sky 3D, Europe's first 3D television channel. Two Toshiba IK-HD1 cameras were attached to the new Polecam 3D mounting plate. This allowed easy adjustments of convergence and roll to be made at the head while final adjustments were handled in a Telegenic truck via a Sony 3D convergence unit. Left and right HD-SDI signals were converted to fibre for a run of nearly two kilometres back to the outside broadcast compound.



Royal wedding will be in 3D on your 3DTV

The royal palace in Monaco says Prince Albert II will tie the knot with his future bride Charlène Wittstock on 2 July 2011. The Monaco's "Wedding of the century" will be filmed in 3D for the world. Jérôme Revon, the famous director/producer has been hired to immortalize the event for the 3DTV channel(s) of FranceTélévision.



"La nuit electro" in 3D

SFR will broadcast the 6-hours "La nuit electro" concert live on 9 October 2010 on the SFRMusic channel in France. You will need a neufbox cable or fibre decoder and a 3DTV to access the concert feed. On site 2D plasma screens will also be usable during the concert.
