LUMIX 3D1
Panasonic has now launched its own twin-lens 3D camera. The 3D1 shoots stereoscopic 3D stills and videos. However, its lack of 3D display is a minus as is its price of 449µ in the UK (specially if compared to the Fuji W3 you can have between 200 and 300£). The Lumix 3D1 should be available in December 2011.

Nikon and Canon factories closed due to earthquake
Nikon has shut down its production facilities in northern Japan, including the factory that makes flagship DSLR cameras such as the D700, following the earthquake and tsunami disaster. Canon today said that, at plants where operations 'may be suspended for one month or more', it will seek to make use of alternative sites that escaped damage, in order to maintain production.
