Surrey Farms in 3D Exhibit
Surrey is a small town on the west coast of Canada close to the US border. And it will be the location of award-winning media artist Sylvia Grace Borda's next exhibit running from September 21, 2013 to December 15, 2013.
As an artist-in-residence at the Surrey Art Gallery’s TechLab, Sylvia Grace Borda has been shooting film, video, still photographs, and stereoscopic pictures on large and small farms in Surrey and the Fraser Valley.
Also featuring the work of painter Jeremy Herndl, the "Figuring Ground" exhibit explores landscapes of Surrey and its region.

19th Century Trains in 3D
The new exhibit "Double Exposure: Photography and the Transcontinental Railroad" starts on September 14, 2013 in Sacramento, California capital city. The exhibition examines the emergence of stereoscopic photography and the ways in which railroads used the new medium during the construction of America's First Transcontinental Railroad. Ultimately, the technology of photography not only helped to tell the story, but also helped to shape public perception and foster acceptance for this massive endeavor that encouraged westward travel and settlement.
Works by photographers Andrew J. Russell, Alfred A. Hart and others will be on display and guests will be able to view many of these using stereoscopes and stereopticons.
