Only in France: 3D documentary with Added Smell

Written by admin. Posted in Documentary

On the road toGerardmer (East of France), in the heart of the Rain-Brice business district, you will find the Maison Louis, a Munster cheese maker,  and its 3D stereoscopic theater like no other. Impossible for tourists to miss the "Au temps de Papy Louis" film in stereoscopic 3D ... and smell.

"Some even believe that this is a joke," smiled Catherine Louis, owner. Visiting the "Maison des saveurs" is a must: products are 100% produced in the Vosges region. At the far end of the shop, a small door leads to a brand new 80-seats theater fitted with bleachers for better acoustics. The owners invested 300,000€ in the setup and it pays off: thousands of visitors, including tourist groups and shools, already visited the place.

The "Au temps de Papy Louis" story

A little girl, Manon, discovers the field work through the story of Grandpa Louis, a grandfather like many have. The one-hour film begins with the snow shovels waltz and the harshness of winter. Following the seasons cycle, the farmer becomes woodcutter, distiller, blacksmith, cheese maker, baker, butcher ...
