Since June 2010, Kong returns to the Universal Studios Hollywood after the devastating fire in 2008 which burned down the original animatronic Kong experience.

Hubble 3D

The film has its world premiere on 14 March at SXSW2010 . in IMAX-3D format, and will be shown at the Houston Museum of Natural Science on 19 March 2010. Filming in space is always a challenge, but especially so for a 3D IMAX production. Because there was not room inside the crew cabin of space shuttle Atlantis, the vehicle carried the IMAX camera in its payload bay, complete with one mile of film. That sounds like a lot, but it's not. The camera only had 8½ minutes of film to capture the 13-day mission. The movie web site is here.
