. Posted in 3D Blockbusters

Illumination Entertainment (Los Angeles, CA,USA) and Universal Pictures (Los Angeles, CA,USA) gave us The Lorax and got $348 million globally with a $70 million budget only. Now they are working on a feature length version of a Seuss book that was just adapted a few years ago : "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!". The movie will be a faithful adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book in stereoscopic 3D CGI. Pete Candeland will direct the new film.

This will actually be the third Dr. Seuss project for Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, who also made Horton Hears a Who under the Blue Sky/Fox direction.
