Wow! World of Warcraft 3D Movie is Coming
Duncan Jones, the son of David Bowie, signed to direct the long expected "World of Warcraft" movie, Legendary Pictures’ live-action adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s video online game. Legendary Pictures producers Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will head the production with Blizzard and Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Alex Gartner. The 3D stereoscopic format is not officially confirmed, but is more than possible, as it is expected from any movie with a 100M$+ budget. To comfort the idea, Charles Roven is the producer on The Dark Knight Rises and on Man of Steel, so we expect 3D to be there.
Shooting will start in the coming months following an undisclosed script; The release date is expected in 2015.
Duncan Jones directed sci-fi drama "Moon" in 2009 then "Source Code" with Jake Gyllenhaal in 2011.
Warcraft stays one of the most popular MORPG (multiplayer online role-playing games) and combines heroic fantasy and science fiction. The Warcraft universes features a lot of creatures such as dragons, orcs, zombies, werewolves, and strartrek-like aliens.
