Pacific Rim will be 3D
Despite the fact that at Comic-Con 2012, Guillermo del Toro had said he didn’t want his “Pacific Rim” to be 3D converted, Warner Bros decided to do it anyway. So, Pacific Rim will be post-converted to stereoscopic 3D for its July 17, 2013 release.
It seems the Guilermo Del Toro has not enough way to overturn the Warner decision. It is nevertheless a bit sad to see the helmer unable to work the way he want... Let's hope 3D conversion will be good enough to give Jaeger robots and kaiju monsters a true immersive presence.
Plot: When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace.
Actors: Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Ron Perlman.
“Pacific Rim” will also be presented in 2D.
