Godzilla 3D Announced for May 16, 2014

GODZILLA terrorized audiences in over 25 films and now Warner Brothers and Legendary pictures will make it 26! Godzilla will return to theatres in 2014 in glorious stereoscopic 3D. The guys behind the i trilogy and the upcoming Man of Steel are resurrecting the infamous giant lizard, but this time it's a grittier, more grounded tale.

At the helm of this latest reboot is British indie director Gareth Edwards who directed a small, low-budget feature called Monsters in 2010. The script is by David Callaham ("The Expendable"), David Goyer ("Dark Kinght"), and Max Borenstein ("The Seventh Son").

Note that a surprise teaser trailer and poster for the film were revealed at Comic-Con 2012 but they are not (yet) available online.
