ID Forever Part One and Part Two Confirmed in 3D

Director Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Devlin confirmed both Independence Day sequels will share the "ID Forever" title as each movie will exist as part of a larger story. The films have been titled ID Forever Part One and ID Forever Part Two.

However, it seems that FOX is withholding its green light on both projects as long as they are not sure Will Smith has signed.

Postconversion

The studio (Fox) asked both movie to be stereoscopic 3D, but Roland Emmerich don't want 3D gear hampering his shooting style so the deal is that both movies will be shot in 2D and 3D-converted in post.

ID is also under 3D conversion now

Independence Day will be re-released in stereoscopic 3D on July 3, 2013.
