Wreck-It Ralph!
"Wreck-It Ralph" is a 3D stereoscopic CGI animated feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios that is setup inside a coin-op videogame. "Wreck It Ralph" will be released in theaters on November 2, 2012.
The story
The story focuses on Ralph, the bad guy in an 8-bit videogame, who spends 30 years being forced to be the villain of his original game (called Fix-It Felix Jr.). One day, Ralph escapes into different videogames where he proves that he can be a hero. Along the way he meets characters from Super Mario Bros., Street Fighter, Pac-Man and other coin-operated classic games. Observers said that Fix-It Felix was "clearly modeled on Nintendo's design for Donkey Kong."

...you will have to explain to your grand-son (when he is leaving its iPad for a few seconds) what is an "8-bits" game and how it is possible to create devices with 256 colors only and make them run at a cool 0,001 Ghz speed!
