“Kikoriki: Legend of the Golden Dragon”, a Russian 3D Cartoon
Russia’s Riki Productions presented at the Annecy Animated Film Festival its latest 3D stereoscopic animated feature, “Kikoriki: Legend of the Golden Dragon”. The movieis part of a major animation franchise in Russia, inncluding a hit TV series for 4-8 year olds, and a stereoscopic 3D feature, “Kikoriki: Team Invisible”. The release date for "Kikoriki: Legend of the Golden Dragon" is expected in October 2015.
"The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet 3D" Trailer Released
"The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet" by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (known for Amélie Poulain) will be released in stereoscopic (and IMAX 3D) format on October 16, 2013. The official trailer teaser has been released by Gaumont. Watch it here under.
Spivet was shot natively in stereoscopic 3d with Alexa M cameras on Cameron-Pace 3D rigs and graded on SGO's Mistika. The stereographer in charge will be Demetri Portelli, known for his work on Scorsese's Hugo Cabret.
"Voices of the Forest", First 3D movie from Chile
ScreenDaily reports that Santiago-based producer Florencia Larrea of Kiné will continue discussions started in Cannes with sales agents on Chile’s first 3D stereoscopic feature, Voices of the Forest. Kiné recently came on board Jorge Olguin’s horror story, now in post, which “centers on an expeditionary team that awakens an ancient supernatural force.”
Filming took place in the south of Chile in 2012. Release date expected end of this year;

The Great Gatsby passed the 200,000,000$ mark today on the worldwide box office, 18 days after its release.

«Sheep&Wolves» is a 3D animation feature from Wizart Animation (Moscow, Russia). The stereoscopic animated feature is under production now and is scheduled for theatrical release in 2D and stereoscopic 3D in winter 2014.
Story
The fan of merry-making and chasing the sheep, young wolf called The Grey is afraid of responsibility and doesn't wish to become a new leader of the pack at all. The Grey is convinced that wolves are the leaders under the sun and they need sheep only to have a full belly. But suddenly all things have changed in a magic manner. One morning The Grey wakes up in a skin of a ram and finds itself in a flock of sheep. From this moment The Grey will look at the world in a different way...
