Gravity 3D Pushed Back to 2013
Warner Bros Pictures is pushing back the release date of "Gravity" to 2013. Directed by Alfonso Cuaron (who also directed Children of Men), Gravity will have a 17 minutes long opening shot and will be 60% CGI. Many very long shot are on the 2-hour long program with only 156 shots overall.
Largest Ever 3D Movie Screening
The largest 3D stereoscopic movie screening was held on Monday in Germany. A Guinness World record-breaking 6,819 film fans were in attendence for the country's premiere of Men in Black 3 at Berlin, Germany's O2 World. Star's from the sci-fi sequel including Will Smith, Nicole Scherzinger and Josh Brolin along with the film's film director Barry Sonnenfeld were all in attendance for the event.
Four Sony 4K projectors
The projector set-up for the record-breaking screening comprised of an array of four Sony 4K SRX-R320's, projecting left and right eye 3D stereosopic images simultaneously onto a giant 25.9m x 14m screen (86' x 46').

"Gabin, Le Mime" is a 15 minutes short film acting as a teaser for "Le Palais des Glaces 3D". Gabin is the first 3D Stereoscopic French film shot with RED Epic cameras. "Le Palais des Glaces 3D" features Gérard Depardieu and Caterina Murino.
Pinocchio 3D Announced
Guillermo Del Toro jump-started his 3D stop-motion animated take on Pinocchio at the Cannes Marché du Film where he announced bu video conference that he will be co-directing Pinocchio 3D with Mark Gustafson. Production will start this summer and will be backed by the Jim Henson Company. Expect a dark, atmospheric and a bit more surreal mood for this gothic adaptation of the story of Pinocchio and his father Geppetto. The story will be time-shifted to the 30ies in Italy
Pinocchio's voice should be done by Daniel Radcliffe, know for his Harry Potter role; Christopher Walken and Tom Waits are also shortlisted for the voice cast but no firm contract is signed at this point.
Pinocchio 3D should not be released before 2014 as stop-motion animation takes a long time to be done correctly.
Saint Dracula 3D goes to Cannes
Saint Dracula 3Dis 2 hours horror movie that will be released in August 2012. Directed and written by Rupesh Paul, the stereoscopic 3D movie which has been shot in Liverpool, UK has been acclaimed at The American Film Market in LA and The Berlin International Film Festival. And this week, it will be a Cannes first for some of its cast.
The young english actress Suzanne Roche said it will be an honour to attend the best cinema showcase on the French Riviera, which can significantly boost her movie’s box office potential.
