Extended Stereo Base with GoPro Cameras

. Posted in 3D Cameras, 3D Rigs, 3D shooting

If you are the proud owner of a pair of GoPro Hero 2 cameras with the optional 3D Hero system, you are able to film in stereoscopic 3D format with an interaxial distance of 45 mm. If you fancy to use your GoPros to shoot a mountain range or the 4th of July fireworks, you need ot extend the ineraxial distance between your cameras to one foot or something like that. That is where RIDAX is handy with its "Extension cable for GoPro".

The RIDAX Extension cable

This extension cable for the GoPro is 30cm (1 feet) long and can be used to work with the LCD screen connected with a cable to the camera so you can see the screen without moving the camera. You can also use it to extend the 3D sync cable so you can have the cameras further apart. If you want a slightly longer cable (but less than 90cm), please send an email directly after your order with the wished length. The picture quality on the LCD screen is lowered a little when used through the cable. This doesn't affect the recording quality and doesn't affect useability at all.

The RIDAX extension cable is available directly from the ChargeConverter website for 29.90$ (plus shipping).
