Kronomav 3D Rigs

. Posted in 3D Cameras, 3D Rigs, 3D shooting

At the London olympics, IN3DLIVE technology from Kronomav (Valencia, Spain) was used in the North Greenwich Arena Venue where it was shooting Gymnastics, Trampoline and Basketball. 4 STC-303 new robotized Rigs  were used as well as the new SIP-300 Stereo Image Processors.

All the four rigs in Gymnastics were set up in Beam Splitter mode while in Basketball two of them were in side-by-side mode. The rigs were fitted with Grass Valley LDK 8000 cameras. One of the rigs was holding two LDK 8300 High Speed Cameras. These high speed cameras were used for both live signal and slow motion replays.

68 hours were shot with Krnomav gear and broadcasted in stereoscopic 3D from the North Greenwich Arena (39 hours in Gymnastics, 5 hours Trampoline and 24 hours Basketball) .

Kronomav

Kronomav Sistemas is a Spanish company dedicated to audiovisual engineering. The company began in 2006 with the merger between two companies with over 15 years of experience in this field: Kronotec, S.L. and Publimav Audiovisual Productions, S.L.

This merger adds value beyond the sum of both parties which no other company in the sector owns:

  1. The problems encountered in practice require efficient technological solutions which Kronomav offers.
  2. The R & D innovations from Kronomav, deliver improvements to the audiovisual market.

The union between technology and audiovisual market knowledge give Kronomav capacity to meet the market demands even before these appear (as happened with stereoscopic 3D).
