3D Stuff for Rent at Wimbledon Studios

Decode just moved to Wimbledon Studios in London, UK where the Iron Lady was shot (with Maryl Streep). This fully revamped location offers 220,000 sq. feet of production space and hosts several facilities and the 'Media village'. Formerly known as Merton Studios, Wimbledon Studios reopenend one year ago.

The complex contains more than 50 purpose-built sets including a prison, police station, hospital, court room and a unique Houses of Commons set that was recently used during the shooting of frthcoming feature The Iron Lady. Additional sets are "due to arrive in the coming months". Two large sound stages have been sound proofed by the new wners, who have also added two new 2,500 square foot sound stages for smaller set ups. Also in the grounds are companies providing HD shotting and post production facilities, costume hire and stereoscopic 3D production specialists. The production offices and dressing rooms have also been upgraded and a "state of the art" door entry system is installed at the site.

Meryl Streep has taken home this year's Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in the Iron Lady, shot partly at Wimbledon Studios.
